In November 2024, Dispatch reached a major milestone: construction began on Project Amethyst, the largest stand-alone battery in the Netherlands. Located in the port of Dordrecht, this BESS project has a power capacity of 45 megawatts and can store 90 megawatt-hours of energy.

Equans Nederland is handling the engineering and construction of the battery, ensuring top-quality execution. Once complete, Eneco will use the battery to support the Netherlands' shift to sustainable energy.

To celebrate this milestone, Dispatch held a start construction ceremony with all partners, stakeholders, and team members. The event recognized the teamwork and dedication behind Project Amethyst and is a key step toward building a better and more stable future with energy storage solutions. The BESS project will help improve the Dutch grid stability and reliability of renewable energy and contribute to a greener energy future.
