As we scale our operations, we are seeking an experienced and strategic Financial Controller to lead our financial function, ensure operational efficiency, and drive long-term growth. The Financial Controller is part of a small team realizing the development, construction and maintenance of Dispatch’s BESS projects. 

Main tasks and responsibilities

Strategic Financial Leadership:

• Advise on and execute financial strategies to support the company’s growth and profitability objectives.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to the executive team to guide decision-making.
• Oversee fundraising efforts in support with management, including debt and equity financing, and maintain relationships with investors and lenders.

Financial Operations:

• Oversee all financial activities, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management for Dispatch B.V. as well as several holdings and SPV’s.
• Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and general ledger management.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, tax laws and industry standards.
• Oversee the preparation of accurate financial statements and reports on all holdings & SPV’S for internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop and enforce robust financial controls and risk management practices.

Collaboration:

• Collaborate with project developers, construction managers and management to align financial goals with operational objectives.
• Act as a key liaison with external auditors, legal advisors and government agencies.

About you 

• A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• Proven experience in a financial role, ideally within the renewable energy, infrastructure or technology sectors.
• Strong understanding of project financing, capital raising and renewable energy markets.
• Good analytical and strategic thinking as well as problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to details and communication abilities, with a track record of cross-functional collaboration.
• Familiarity with accounting software, ERP systems and financial modeling tools.
• You are available for a minimum 3 days a week.

We are financer, developer and manager of large-scale stationary and stand-alone energy storage systems. We lease the battery projects to energy suppliers on a long-term basis. We operate in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany for now, and once pipeline is secured in those markets, we intend to move further into Europe.
