Job Description
In the role of Project Developer, your goal is to develop new large-scale battery projects. In your market area, you work on identifying new opportunities and capitalizing on opportunities by developing a suitable project propositions. You develop a project from idea to ready to build by, among other things, identifying and securing strategic (land) options and obtaining cooperation from municipalities and provinces, getting the permit filed and subsidy applications in order and a sound business case.
As a project developer battery storage, you are in the lead to fill the pipeline and guide battery storage projects to an investment close with a team of internal and external specialists. You carefully assess all aspects of the project with the team.
Responsibilities
- Project Pipeline: Identifying and/or acquiring new battery storage projects in in your assignedmarket. The working area is determined in consultation.
- Project Assessment: Assess the feasibility of the project by evaluating the site's suitability for battery storage, estimating the project's cost, business case and identifying potential technical and regulatory issues.
- Battery Selection: Select the appropriate battery technology and capacity for the project based on the project's requirements, such as energy output, charging time, and lifespan.
- Project Design: Manage and advise on the design the project, including the battery layout, power conversion system, and control system, to ensure that the project meets the technical and regulatory requirements.
- Permitting and Regulatory Compliance: Obtain the necessary permits and comply with relevant regulations to ensure that the project is implemented legally and safely.
- Resource Management: Allocate resources efficiently to ensure that the project is completed on time and within budget.
- Partnership management: Identifying strategic partnerships and maintaining them; Setting up partnerships with parties and independently taking over projects from third parties;
- Business case Development: Develop and prepare projects for investment decisions in collaboration with a core team and relevant experts;
- Possibly also assisting junior colleagues in complex issues.
About you
You work together as one team to fulfill one mission. You are proactive in helping to accelerate the energy transition. You create space to exchange insights and opinions with colleagues and you take responsibility for contributing to the joint plan. You are an experienced project developer with a heart for sustainability who is looking for the next challenge.
- At least 2 years of experience in project development and similar roles
- At least 3 years of experience in at least one of these industries:
- Smart grids
- (Renewable) energy (storage)
- A strong independent, commercial and entrepreneurial approach
- Working and thinking at least HBO level and enthusiastic about progressive technical projects
- Shown leadership, organized and resistant to stress
- A strong independent, commercial and entrepreneurial approach
- A talent for adequate environmental management and you are able to set up and maintain lasting relationships;
- Strong analytical skills: you quickly understand what the important (financial) parameters are in complex projects and you are able to optimize them;
- Excellent representative and communication skills: You create space to exchange insights and opinions with colleagues and take responsibility for contributing to the joint plan.
- Possesses experience and knowledge of Permitting and Contract Processes
