At Dispatch, we develop, build and manage large-scale battery energy storage systems (BESS) that make a fossil-free energy system possible. We work with partners such as Macquarie, Tesla, Eneco, Fluence and DNV, and our project pipeline across Europe is growing fast.

Growth like that puts pressure on the finance function. We are looking for a Financial Controller who wants to help build it further. You will own the day-to-day control cycle, sharpen our reporting, and get close to the project economics behind every battery we develop.

What you'll do

• Execute & control the administration of our Dutch companies and align with our assisting party in NL
• Align with our assisting parties in Belgium, Germany and France to make sure the administration of the foreign entities is up-to-date.
• Assist in the monthly and quarterly closing cycle for our entities (20+)
• Assist in preparing the annual accounts and act as point of contact for our external auditor
• Work directly with development, construction and asset management teams to translate project reality into numbers
• Support building and maintaining project-level reporting: budgets, forecasts, cash flow and variance analysis
• Improve the existing finance, compliance, and admin processes
• Report to finance manager, CFO, shareholders and financing partners

What you bring

• A degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or similar (HBO or WO)
• Around 5 years of relevant experience in administration, controlling, accounting or audit
• Hands-on experience with audited annual accounts, you know what an auditor will ask before they ask it
• Strong Excel skills and a comfortable command of the wider Office suite
• Fluent Dutch and English; French/German or other language is a plus
• Affinity with the energy transition, BESS or infrastructure projects, or a real drive to learn it fast
• A scale-up mindset: you take ownership, you are pragmatic, and you do not wait for a process to exist before solving the problem
