As Procurement & Tender Manager, you play a key role in ensuring that Dispatch’s energy storage projects are delivered with quality, consistency, and commercial clarity. 

You ensure that the technical, commercial, and contractual aspects of Dispatch’s energy storage projects are aligned and well-managed during development and up to Financial Close. Dispatch works closely with large institutional infra-investors and banks. You understand their requirements and are able to manage and align key contractual items in line with their expectations.

You will work closely with internal teams and a network of external advisors, suppliers, and EPC partners, translating project requirements into clear tender strategies , frameworks and structured contracts. Your role sits at the interface of engineering, legal, and commercial functions — helping Dispatch make well-informed, transparent, and timely project decisions.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Procurement & Tender Management: Structure and lead tender and procurement processes for new BESS projects and strategic equipment with long lead times, from scoping to contract award.
  • Cross-functional Coordination: Align technical, legal, and commercial inputs across internal and external stakeholders to ensure clear, consistent contracting.
  • Contract & Risk Oversight: Define and negotiate key project milestones, securities, warranties, and risk obligations across contracts and agreements.
  • Project Preparation Support: Contribute to FEED and pre-construction stages by coordinating documentation, evaluation, and alignment with project objectives.
  • Partner & Supplier Interface: Serve as the main contact point for external partners during tendering and contract negotiations, ensuring clarity, accountability, and quality outcomes.
  • Governance & Improvement: Support the continuous improvement of Dispatch’s procurement frameworks, templates, and processes to enhance efficiency and transparency.

About You

You are structured, analytical, and pragmatic — someone who thrives in a collaborative, hands-on environment. You understand how technical, commercial, and contractual elements come together in complex renewable energy projects and know how to turn that understanding into structured procurement strategies and sound project decisions.

You enjoy working cross-functionally, engaging with engineers, developers, and lawyers alike, and take ownership of delivering clear, reliable outcomes.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5–8 years of experience in procurement, tendering, or project contracting, preferably in renewable energy or infrastructure.
  • Proven understanding of project lifecycles, contract milestones, and risk allocation.
  • Experience working with BESS, EPCs, OEMs, or large infrastructure suppliers is a plus.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to align diverse technical and commercial interests.
