About the project
Amethyst is now in operation and actively participating in the energy grid. It is our first battery storage project in Zuid-Holland, the Netherlands, with a capacity of 45 MW and a two-hour duration. Through close collaboration with local authorities and an innovative modular design, we optimized space utilization and streamlined the permitting process.

Project Overview
In Operation since October 2026.
Battery
The battery consists of 144 Fluence cubes and has a capacity of 90 MWh. On average, it stores enough energy to supply 21,500 households for a day.
Location
Amethyst is operational in the port area of Dordrecht, on a 6000m² site.
Congestion
Our market access partner will optimize the battery to balance the grid and relieve congestion.
